Crustrol

About

A restaurant should not need three conversations to serve one plate.

Why we built Crustrol.

Watch a busy service and you will see the same order told three times. The server tells the billing system. A ticket tells the kitchen. At the end of the night, someone tells the accounts. Each retelling loses a little: a changed dish, a comped dessert, the name of the guest who has come every Friday for a year.

Restaurants did not choose this. They were sold a POS, then a kitchen display, then a loyalty tool, each from a different place, each with its own idea of what an order is.

Crustrol starts from the other end. There is one order record. The floor, the kitchen, the till and the guest profile all read and write to it, live. The AI on top does practical work: it times the kitchen queue, warns the floor about delays and keeps track of who your regulars are.

Everything else, from the menu to the prices to who works which shift, stays with the people who run the restaurant.

Principles

Three rules we build by.

01

One flow, not three systems.

An order is one thing from the moment it is taken to the moment it is paid. Software should treat it that way, so nobody has to re-key, reconcile or chase it.

02

Flag the delay before the table notices.

A late dish is only a problem when the guest finds out first. We build for the minutes before that happens, when there is still time to fix it.

03

Remember every customer, not just the order.

Restaurants are built on regulars. The tenth visit should feel different from the first, and that memory should belong to the restaurant.
